Unlock the Future

We envision a future where no one is invisible—where dignity, rights, and empowerment are accessible to all, driving social cohesion and sustainable development.

"UN Sustainable Development Goals 16"

OUR MAIN FOCUS

IDHelp

Assist people to obtain their first birth certificates (even at an advanced age), a first ID-smartcard, replace an existing ID-book and replace lost or damaged birth, marriage and death certificates.

Amidst all the social problems many residents of Fisantekraal endure, we focus on those in need of help to be registered as legal citizens, allowing them access to the rights and privileges of documented South African citizens

Assist parents with late or difficult school applications at the District Office including after the normal online application period, children who are more than 7 years old that never attended school and/or learners who have been out of school for a long period.

OUR CLIENT BASE

About

Mainly residents of Fisantekraal who are not in a position to handle the process themselves, either through lack of finances, lack of contact with their place of origin, lack of knowledge or being intimidated by the process.

Since 2023, when we started keeping detailed stats, our clients submitted 388 ID applications and 78 applications for late birth registrations. IDHelp assisted with 16 DNA tests and assisted 28 school children with placements.

WHY FOCUS ON ID’s

NO ID = NO HOPE

Someone without an ID has no legal identity, is for all practical purposes “invisible” and is EXCLUDED from access to formal employment, social grants, children’s allowances, a bank account, a funeral policy, a driver’s license and further studies.

Amidst all the social problems which many residents of Fisantekraal endure, we focus on those in need of help to be registered as legal citizens, allowing them access to the rights and privileges from which undocumented people are excluded.
